My Crafting Smash Book

I finally started My Smash Book! I am so excited to bring this to you. I started this book to document/journal about the things that I love seeing and doing. My Gardens and Crafting for starters. I haven't worked up to my gardens but I did start with my crafting pages!!
How it all began to pictures of my craft room and all the things I love.
I found an awesome Imagine Cartridge called Word Of Mouth. It works fantastic using these images in Smash books. I will also be posting about on my other blog Mary's Crafting Spot since this is about using the Imagine Cartridge Word Of Mouth. I also used products from K&Company and CTMH. I was able to get a good start on this book and I have been having a ball working on this book today. I will try to get all the products used listed below.

I am just thrilled with this cartridge and how well it works for using them with Smash Books.

When I started flipping through the hand book. I just kept getting more and more excited about the possibilities this cartridge has!!

I started out my book with pictures of me and  my craft room and words of inspiration.

As I'm getting more into making this book I get more and more ideas of what I want in it.
Since I am getting more ideas I see a book 2 in my future.
I don't have a lot of time to work on scrapbooks. I thought this would be a good way to keep crafting.
I'm also using this book to experiment a little more with the Smash book concept and other techniques.
Then bring some things I do in this book to my scrapbook pages and cards I make.

Working In The Garden

I have been busy working in my gardens. Getting them pruned and moving some plants around.
I worked most of today in this garden as well as trimming some bushes around the house.
This still has some work that needs to be done. I am happy with how it is coming along.
I am getting some photos together so I can add to my garden scrapbook.

Pebbles Chalks to color the flower. I used a blender pen to blend the colors.

I set the chalk with Extra Hold Aerosol Hairspray.

Ducks Visit Our Garden Pond

We have a garden pond. When we looked out the window there were 2 mallard ducks swimming in it.
It was just so funny to see these 2 big ducks taking a break in our garden pond. We got a good chuckle out of it. They only stayed for a short visit and moved on. It is just amazing what we find in our garden pond.
We have had frogs, toads, turtles, bull frogs and now ducks.  I will be adding these photo's to my garden scrapbooks.

The leaf branches were found on the Art Philosophy Cartridge. P. 35 - P. 43 - of your Art Philosophy handbook I cut 8 of each branch type. They were cut at 1-1/2". The flowers from the Hooray Bouquet Stamp Set were cut at 1" and 1-1/2" on P. 57 - of your Art Philosophy Handbook. I cut 9 - 1" flowers and 3 - 1-1/2" flowers. I stamped the 1" flowers with pansy purple ink. I rolled them with a flower tool. For the flower buds I took a 1" flower that was stamped and folded it in 1/2. I rolled to flower from one end to the other creating a bud. for the bottom of the bud. I snipped off on of the leaves and glued it to the bottom of the bud. I place a button in the center of the 3 open flowers for the center. For the frame on the card I used 2 images found on page 55 of the handbook. They are the Decorative Layer images cut at w- 2.458" x H - 3.931". The card I sized to W - 5.50 x 11. I popped up the frame and open flowers with 3-D foam tape. The scalloped oval was cut at W - 2.194 x H 1.542 found on page 52 of your handbook . The oval was cut at W- 1.819 x H - 1.208 found on page 42 of your handbook.
