Pumpkin Carving

Our Granddaughter was over and we had to carve a pumpkin for Halloween.
Well Chuck got in on the action making this his first Cricut project.
Here is the step by step process.

First cut off the top

Then our granddaughter Scooped out the middle

She said it was gooey

Our Granddaughter Picked out the pumpkin face from the Pumpkin Carving cartridge.

I cut it out on the Cricut Mini.

Chuck traced the face on the pumpkin

Here it is.

Then Chuck carved the face

Then our granddaughter pulled out the pieces to the face.

What a great team!!

Our granddaughter wants to keep the cut out pieces.

Now I get to scrapbook it!!

Bat and Ghost Mobile

Bat and Ghost Mobile

I made a Martha Stewart Bat Mobile. It's super easy to make.
All you need is a branch, bats, ghosts and some cheese cloth.

Supplies:

Cricut Cartridge Happy Hauntings - Bats and Ghosts
The Bats were cut at 5-1/4"
The ghosts were cut at 4-1/2" I got the idea from the Martha Stewart website.

My Crafting Smash Book

I finally started My Smash Book! I am so excited to bring this to you. I started this book to document/journal about the things that I love seeing and doing. My Gardens and Crafting for starters. I haven't worked up to my gardens but I did start with my crafting pages!!
How it all began to pictures of my craft room and all the things I love.
I found an awesome Imagine Cartridge called Word Of Mouth. It works fantastic using these images in Smash books. I will also be posting about on my other blog Mary's Crafting Spot since this is about using the Imagine Cartridge Word Of Mouth. I also used products from K&Company and CTMH. I was able to get a good start on this book and I have been having a ball working on this book today. I will try to get all the products used listed below.

I am just thrilled with this cartridge and how well it works for using them with Smash Books.

When I started flipping through the hand book. I just kept getting more and more excited about the possibilities this cartridge has!!

I started out my book with pictures of me and  my craft room and words of inspiration.

As I'm getting more into making this book I get more and more ideas of what I want in it.
Since I am getting more ideas I see a book 2 in my future.
I don't have a lot of time to work on scrapbooks. I thought this would be a good way to keep crafting.
I'm also using this book to experiment a little more with the Smash book concept and other techniques.
Then bring some things I do in this book to my scrapbook pages and cards I make.

Working In The Garden

I have been busy working in my gardens. Getting them pruned and moving some plants around.
I worked most of today in this garden as well as trimming some bushes around the house.
This still has some work that needs to be done. I am happy with how it is coming along.
I am getting some photos together so I can add to my garden scrapbook.

Pebbles Chalks to color the flower. I used a blender pen to blend the colors.

I set the chalk with Extra Hold Aerosol Hairspray.

Ducks Visit Our Garden Pond

We have a garden pond. When we looked out the window there were 2 mallard ducks swimming in it.
It was just so funny to see these 2 big ducks taking a break in our garden pond. We got a good chuckle out of it. They only stayed for a short visit and moved on. It is just amazing what we find in our garden pond.
We have had frogs, toads, turtles, bull frogs and now ducks.  I will be adding these photo's to my garden scrapbooks.
